At PMI, we have always focused on sustainable business practices while bringing innovative product
solutions to market. We make reusable, sustainable products in facilities where workers are treated
with dignity and respect. We are committed to ensuring that workers who produce products for PMI live
and work in a healthy environment and earn a fair wage for work performed. This includes being
committed to preventing human trafficking and slave labor in our supply chain.
In 2002, we implemented a comprehensive Code of Conduct based of the Fair Labor Association Code
of Conduct, which we require all Tier 1 suppliers and their subcontract to abide by. We utilize
third party auditors to audit all of our Tier 1 suppliers against this Code of Conduct. Our Code
of Conduct includes our corporate policy around human trafficking and forced/slave labor along with
the procedures for suppliers found in violation of these policies. Every employee is trained on
the contents of our Code of Conduct and we are working to expand this training to include specific
training on human trafficking and forced / slave labor for the managers at our Tier 1 suppliers.
